Bangladesh student protests over jobs escalate, telecoms disrupted

A nationwide curfew that was supposed to end Sunday in Bangladesh has been extended ‘indefinitely’.
Telecommunications have also been suspended – effectively isolating the country.
Those measures are in place to deter protests against the government’s jobs quota system – which have seen violent police crackdowns.
At least 114 people have been killed, and thousands injured.
The country’s Supreme Court is now meeting and is expected to hand down a decision on the quota system in the coming hours.

Al Jazeera’s Tanvir Chowdhury has the latest from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
