It has emerged that acting Judge President of the Western Cape Division of the High Court, Patricia Goliath sought the recusal of Commissioner, Mvuzo Notyesi for her interviews before the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) due to his relationship with the National Association of Democratic Lawyers. The body has called for a different candidate to be appointed to the vacant position of Judge President of the Western Cape High Court. Goliath’s interview has featured the name of another Judge of the bench, who strongly raised concerns over her leadership.
